Top safety award for innovation
Every company has a duty of care and safety towards its workforce – a duty which can be particularly onerous in our particular industry. We at Innovation take this responsibility very seriously, which is why we were so thrilled to receive a Worksafe Award from Bovis Lend Lease earlier this year. The Awards are held every year and they recognise Bovis staff and suppliers who have shown a high level of performance against certain
safety criteria including: their attitude to safety; the training of staff; provision of safety equipment; and the level of supervisory control. Most of the Awards are made internally, but some 20 external suppliers – including Innovation – were nominated by Bovis managers for the Worksafe Award – and we were judged the joint winner for our overall standards of work whilst on-site during 2001 Antoinette Mitry, Managing Director of Innovation, said: “We were delighted to receive this prestigious award as it underlines our commitment to the safety of its workforce – we are proud of our association with Bovis Lend Lease and look forward to continuing the good work.”
